Yackov Dar

President and Chief Executive Officer
Yackov Dar is the founder, president and chief executive officer of Powercom, a global leader in providing Smart Grid, Load Management and Smart Metering systems and solutions to help consumers and utilities manage their grid infrastructure in the information-driven world. Yackov is also a member of Powercom’s board of directors.

Throughout his 28-year tenure at the electronic industry Yackov was a founder and held a variety of senior management roles, giving him broad experience across products and operations.

Before founding Powercom, Yackov was president and CEO of Artec Lantec, the leading technical distributor in Israel in charge on the day to day operation. From 1992 to 1995, he served as senior vice president of products and technology at ETM Inc., where he spearheaded corporate strategy and development by leading the company's engineering, product management, and technology groups in Israel. Yackov received a MBA (business) degree from Bridgeport University, Connecticut, USA and bachelor’s degree in electronic science from Bridgeport University, Connecticut, USA.

Yaniv Oren

Chief Technology Officer
Yaniv Oren is the founder and executive vice president and chief technology officer at Powercom, responsible for the Powercom Research Labs, Powercom shared technologies, architecture and standards, localization and communication coding, and developing the technology strategy for the company.

Additionally, Yaniv leads the field technical enablement team, which works closely with the technical sales team to ensure they are prepared to assist customers in managing the impact of changing and emerging technical requirements.

Yaniv founded Powercom through the company’s spinoff from Intellimind, formally, Flextronics Design Group in Israel, where he served as general manager, responsible for cross-product advanced product development, and the company’s engineering development centers in Israel. Prior to joining Flextronics, Yaniv was one of the R&D team at Chromatics Networks which was sold at 2001 to Lucent for 4.8 Billion USD and in Applied Materials (AMAT).

Yaniv holds a bachelor’s degree in electronics from Ariel College.

Joseph Wittman

Vice President Business Development
Joseph Wittman is the Vice President Business Development of Powercom. Prior to joining Powercom, Joseph held the position of Chief Financial Officer at Medisim Ltd. Before this, Joseph was a senior consultant in KPMG Israel in the Corporate Finance Department. Joseph’s experience also includes establishing start-ups and managing a direct marketing company. Joseph holds a CPA (Australia), as well as an MBA and Masters of Accounting from Bond University, Gold Coast, Australia.
